South Shore Hockey Club (SSHC) is a youth program on Long Island dedicated to building players and teams from the ground up. We field boys’ and girls’ tournament teams at the 8U, 10U, 12U, and 14U, 16U, 18U levels, with a development-first, family-style culture. We are always looking for dedicated roller players who want to better their skills and are committment to development.
Mens Pro Teams and Amateur teams are welcome to apply as well and one we are pushing very hard is to find the talented girls teams in all divisions even the Pro Division to come join The South Shore Hockey Club and represent us in all the major tournaments.
SSHC bridges inline and ice hockey to give players a complete foundation. Our roster blends athletes from both disciplines, encouraging inline’s speed, touch, and creativity while reinforcing universal hockey habits like:
Our home base is Skatesafe America in Old Bethpage, NY—an indoor two-rink facility at 182 Bethpage-Sweethollow Rd. It’s a hub for youth and adult inline hockey on Long Island, and where you’ll find SSHC hosting practices, tournaments, showcases, and pop-up events.
South Shore teams stay active locally and regionally:
Our teams appear regularly on official event rosters and bring a competitive, team-oriented spirit wherever they play.
On the bench, SSHC is led by Bobby Shannon and Jon Paskoff, coaches who emphasize fundamentals, sportsmanship, and the value of being part of a tight-knit team.
